Highlight is seeking a Technical Peer Reviewer to join a program supporting the Contract Management division within a behavioral health organization at HHS.

Responsibilities

This individual will act as a peer reviewer for SAMHSA.

Qualifications

At least five (5) years of experience in one or more of the subsequently cited areas. Experience in reviewing contract and / or grant proposals is preferred, but not required

State Systems for Mental Health, Substance Abuse Prevention, Substance Abuse Treatment Services.

Evaluation methodologies.

Faith and Community organizations that provide Mental Health, Substance Abuse Prevention and Substance Abuse Treatment Services.

Program development, planning, and management at the local, state and federal level as relates to Mental Health, Substance Abuse Prevention and Substance Abuse Treatment.

HIV / AIDS as relates to Mental Health, Substance Abuse Prevention and Substance Abuse Treatment.

Adolescent behavior and issues as relates to Mental Health, Substance Abuse Prevention and Substance Abuse Treatment.

Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD)

Illicit drug use / abuse; marijuana, crack, cocaine, heroine, ecstasy, methamphetamine, etc.

Prescription drug use / abuse; OxyContin, Methadone, etc.

Co-occurring substance abuse and mental health issues.

Children’s mental health.
