Responsibilities

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

 

Training Program Management:

  • Effectively and consistently deploy Highmark Residential’s nationally developed training curriculum.
  • Weigh in on training program updates and requested edits.
  • Identify, certify, and manage onsite trainers.
  • Identify training needs and gaps through performance analysis, feedback mechanisms, and collaboration with regional managers.
  • Create supplemental training materials, resources, and manuals to support the delivery of training programs, sharing resources with other members of the Highmark training department.
  • Oversee the scheduling and coordination of training sessions across the region.
  • Ensure associate compliance with Learning Management System.

Leadership and Team Development:

  • Communicate regularly with region as a consistent, empathetic, positive voice, conveying Highmark’s culture.
  • Act as an advocate of company and regional policies and directives.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to regional and onsite staff, ensuring their professional growth and development. Work closely with Regional Managers to coach onsite staff if an identified skillset requires additional education and/or support.
  • Coach and mentor trainers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and a strong commitment to employee development.
  • Collaborate with regional managers to identify high-potential employees and develop succession plans.
  • Use company programming to report and rank regional performance, identifying wins and opportunities to improve.
  • Use company programs to identify and celebrate top performers and a job well done.

Training Delivery and Evaluation:

  • Deliver engaging and interactive training sessions for employees at all levels, utilizing various methods such as instructor-led training, e-learning, workshops, and seminars.
  • Assess the effectiveness of training programs through evaluations, feedback, and performance metrics.
  • Continuously enhance training delivery methods, incorporating innovative approaches and technologies to maximize learning outcomes.

Compliance and Regulatory Requirements:

  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes affecting the residential property management sector.
  • Ensure training programs are in compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements.

Collaborative Partnerships:

  • Build strong relationships with regional stakeholders, including regional managers, HR professionals, and subject matter experts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address training needs in areas such as customer service, leasing, property maintenance, and compliance.

Travel: 30-50% on occasion with little advance notice

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Must have five years of Multifamily experience with at least one year of marketing, training, or other supervisory role
  • Strong internet, mobile, and social media aptitude
  • Canva and basic design skills preferred.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design, and training evaluation techniques.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in utilizing learning management systems (LMS) and other training technologies.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations, compliance standards, and industry best practices.
  • Flexibility to travel within the region as needed.
  • Exceptional conceptual and creative thinking skills
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Excellent written, verbal and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting
  • Ability to process complex information quickly and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to process change in a positive manner

  • Exceptional project management skills
  • Outstanding presentation skills to small and large groups
  • Negotiates well in difficult situations, with a deep sensitivity to cultural and regional differences.
  • Must be able to travel and incur expenses on a personal credit card with a reimbursement turnaround process that may take up to 30 days.
  • High school diploma or equivalent to - Bachelor’s degree preferred
