Description
The AGM is responsible for all retail systems and protocols of KP are implemented and
maintained, ensuring operational excellence. The AGM should maintain a store presence on a
full-time basis, and focus on facilitating the fluid functioning and communication of all of KP’s
various departments. The AGM acts as the immediate GM backup and is at the forefront of
setting the example of how to be professional as a KP staff member.
Hours of Position: Wednesday through Sunday 11am-7pm, consisting of a 30 to 1-hour lunch.
Additionally AGM’s need to be able to be reached during all business hours, and after hours
within reason. Outside of business hours may consist of answering phone calls and/or emails.

- -Inventory Operations-Floor Manager SOP-Product Return SOP-Consultant SOP-Express Lane SOP-Front Desk Associate SOP-Security SOP-Robbery POA/ SOP-Emergency Evac POA/ SOP-Harassment SOP-Systems Down SOP-LL Crash SOP-Package Intake SOP-Purchasing SOP-All Employee Handbook-NOTE: These are all part of HR/Admin department but the AGMwill need to know and understand policies and duties pertaining tothose departments.
- All retail-specific documents used daily/ weekly in retail operations
-CC/FM disciplinary log-Pre-shift meeting notes-Debit/Bank log-Discrepancies log-Coupon use-Attendance-Tip worksheet-AGM/FM bi-weekly meeting notes

- Main Duties:
- -Manage and mentor the following positions directly:-Floor Managers-Genetics Personnel (Soquel st. AGM only)-Manage and mentor the following positions indirectly:-Cannabis Consultants-Front Desk Associates - including Leads-Security Guards - including Leads-This includes oversight of their duties, as well as 1:1 interactions,disciplinary actions, training etc.
- Retail employee training
-Develop and maintain retail training curriculum-Ensure all employees on-site receive yearly safety training
- Assist in the delegation and/or collaboration of tasks to:
-Operations Managers-Product Manager-Marketing-Administrative Staff-Outside Contacts
- An expected 20% of the AGM's time should be utilized by physically being present within
the retail department. This can include but not limited to:
- Publish the retail schedule no less than 2 weeks in advanceSub-Duties:
- Development and implementation of new systems or adjustments to current systems.
- -Creation and organizing of pertaining SOPs
- Discipline employees when necessary with verbal warnings, written warnings, and
write-ups.
- Hiring and termination of employees.
-Interviewing/vetting-Leave of employees
- Manage reviews and raises for FM’s, CC’s, FDA’s, Security
-Conduct Preliminary and 6mo. Performance Reviews with all current staff-Assigning and following up with all staff to complete the necessary reviews.-Compiling all completed (by staff) reviews.
-Condensing, adding personal-professional opinions.
- Monitor Sales orders for standards, accuracy, and payment discrepancies.
- -Monitoring Debit/ Credit discrepancy logs-Monitoring gross sales and promotional performance-Online Reviews-Enforcing proper channels of communication between staff and departments.
- Field questions employees may have about policies, day-to-day issues that arise,
general company needs, customer issues complaints, necessary structural changes tothe floor, schedule or company policy.
- Conduct and attend weekly, bi-weekly and monthly meetings.
-Bi-Weekly Retail meeting (AGMs and ROM)-Retail alignment meeting (weekly, all retail managers)-Bi-Weekly Store/ Floor Manager Meeting
- Maintain standards of cleanliness in the building.
- Facilitate the monthly contractor visits and service providers.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- All applicants must be available to work nights and weekends
- Management experience is required
- Must live in Santa Cruz or Monterey County & have reliable transportation
- Sales experience a plus
- Cannabis experience preferred
- Excellent cash handling
