We are currently looking for Weld Preppers to join our growing team. We offer highly competitive pay for welders with aluminum experience.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Receive raw materials from the Fabrication department.
· Transport materials to weld booths manually, with a hand truck, or a pallet jack.
· Prepare materials by cleaning, smoothing any rough or jagged edges, and removing sections of protective film.
· Verify that all materials are present at the weld booth before the welder begins the project.
· Ensure that all standard materials are in stock in the weld prep area.
· Distribute work load evenly to welding group.
· Verify welded materials conform to quality standards.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· High School Diploma or GED.
· Ability to read work orders.
· Basic mathematical skills.
· Basic welding experience is a plus.
-Material handling experience is a plus.
