Job Description
HII Mission Technologies Division is seeking a HAZMAT Specialist in support of a large Operations and Maintenance Contract within Mission Technologies. Position(s) will be based at global Army training site in Orlando, FL. This position is contingent upon contract award.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- The HAZMAT Specialist provides comprehensive management and oversight of HAZMAT including the identification, documentation, tracking, and safe handling of HAZMAT items to maintain compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
- Responsibilities include supervising the demilitarization and correct disposal process of HAZMAT items and assisting in the preparation of HAZMAT documentation for CPF 12 tagged TADSS during disposal.
- The HAZMAT Specialist contributes to planning for relocation and installation of equipment involving hazardous materials. The role also encompasses conducting thorough HAZMAT inspections and continuous monitoring to guarantee proper storage and handling, as well as the implementation and enforcement of storage guidelines for hazardous materials
Minimum Qualifications
- 2 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 0 years experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 6 years relevant experience.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret or TS/SCI clearance.
