Description:
We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive team and encourage applications from candidates of all backgrounds. We are seeking a talented and motivated Materials Planner to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring supply of materials for operations and driving material planning excellence for the Generics Business. In order to do so, this role must drive actions throughout the supply chain to meet or exceed PSL and CSL targets while also minimizing expedites, managing inbound efficiencies, warehouse capacities and the inventory investment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensures minimized ordering costs while also managing inventory levels.
- Collaborates with Purchasing, Vendors and Master Schedulers to minimize slow moving, expired and obsolete product.
- Thorough analysis of MRP results on a weekly basis.
- Supports protected resource material ordering to minimize downtime.
- Plans and drives strategic inventory decisions related to material changes (regulatory/change management)
- Identifies materials for destruction on a monthly basis.
- Develop and maintain supply outlook reviews to ensure inventory availability, requirements, highlighting shortages and developing a resolution action plan.
- Participate in launch team meetings to ensure material coverage.
- Partners with Purchasing team to manage inventory levels and sourcing needs.
- Owner of assigned material types (i.e. – ZAPI, ZRAW, etc.) for order creation and vendor management.
- Manages purchased item exception messages.
- Owns WH/QC and Vendor expedite process as needed.
- Owns QC retest process for purchased items.
- Manage planning parameters for coverage based on inventory availability, supplier performance, quality history, market share, etc.
- Accountable for purchased item forecasts to suppliers.
- Participate in New Business Opportunity process to ensure ability to supply materials.
- Work with Buyer/Planner to ensure supplier deliveries support the plan.
- Regular and predictable onsite attendance and punctuality.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Minimum 5 years of professional-level planning, operations, or supply chain experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree preferred.
- Or – MBA or master’s in operations or supply chain and 1 year of experience in planning or operations.
- APICS certification is preferred.
Skills:
- Ability to lead and deliver positive results through teamwork and collaboration with customers.
- Ability to effectively communicate with external suppliers.
- Demonstrated knowledge of MRP/MPS and Master Data in MRP system (preferred SAP).
- Demonstrated knowledge of MS Office.
- Demonstrated planning, organizing, analytical, problem solving, project management and communication skills.

- Demonstrated ability to be consistent, timely and accurate in processing of transactions and other duties.
