POSITION OVERVIEW
Hikvision is looking for an experienced payroll specialist to be responsible for all payroll-related tasks. To be successful as a payroll specialist, you should be able to investigate and resolve payroll issues. An outstanding payroll specialist should also have excellent people skills and a high numerical aptitude.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Provide support and guidance to management and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive payroll questions and issues arise
- Implement, maintain, and review payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates
- Work with accounting/finance department to ensure accuracy of all reports
- Help facilitate audits by providing records and documentation to auditors
- Facilitate accurate and timely delivery of employer contributions and employee payroll deductions to carriers, plan administrators, or other appropriate service providers
- Checking timesheets for accuracy
- Entering data into databases and spreadsheets
- Handling direct deposit requests and data
- Processing paper checks for distribution
- Acquiring all necessary signatures to distribute payroll
- Processing wage garnishments
- Making adjustments in pay for raises, bonuses and commission
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word and Outlook
- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS
- Proficient with payroll software. Experience with ADP or ADP Total Source is a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
- HR experience in a manufacturing setting is a plus
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- At least 3 years of human resources experience
- At least 3 years of payroll experience, preferably with ADP
- At least 1 year of human resources management preferred
