General Ledger Associate

Grow With Us! We are currently seeking a motivated and ambitious General Ledger Associate to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to build relationships and service our clients.

This position will report to our agency located in Richmond, VA. The ideal candidate will be motivated to succeed, is well organized, able to prioritize, and able to work well with a team. This is an in office position.

Responsibilities:

• Record and post necessary closing journal entries, including payroll entries, intercompany entries, and other entries of a manual nature.
• Responsible for analyzing financial statements for errors and anomalies prior to and subsequent to uploading financial data to the corporate reporting systems.
• Support the monthly and quarterly financial close for the platform and ensure corporate reporting requirements are met in an accurate and timely manner.
• Prepare ad-hoc analysis over financial and operational processes and present findings to appropriate stakeholders.
• Understand and document accounting process flows and enforce accounting policies and procedures where required.
• Working on general process improvement to ensure most effective and efficient process is in place.

Qualifications:

• 4-7 years of accounting / finance experience. Knowledge of GAAP required.
• Experience with corporate accounting systems. AMS360 a plus. 
• Four-year college degree in accounting, finance, or related field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to drive change and influence key stakeholders.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Financial suite including Excel (Power Query and Pivot), Excel Modeling, MS Access.
