Grow With Us! The Hilb Group is currently seeking a motivated and ambitious Treasury Analyst to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to build relationships and service our clients
This position will report to our agency located in Richmond, VA. The ideal candidate will be motivated to succeed, is well organized, able to prioritize, and able to work well with a team. This is a hybrid role.
Responsibilities:
- Manage bank accounts & bank account set up
- Manage and track Earnout payments
- Manage cash forecast
- Manage share price calculations and reporting
- Manage borrowing notices
- Manage and optimize liquidity - Develop and oversee strategies to manage the investment process of excess company funds.
- Develop and implement cash management operational strategies to optimize banking services, assure best practices and optimize banking pricing. Develops relationships with banking institutions.
- Manage interest rates and hedge risks
- Manage capital deployment - Determining and executing optimal structures, sequencing, and processes to implement funding solutions to meet business requirements, minimize cost of capital, and enhance financial flexibility
- Create cash models and forecasts needed for coordinating with lenders on new or additional capacity to debt facility
- Advise on optimal targets for leverage
- Coordinate with bankers, financial advisors, and legal teams to execute objectives of the financing plan
- Manage debt covenant compliance - Forecast and assure compliance with all covenants on all debt
- Partner with Finance & Analytics to reduce cycle time and improve quality of story driven analytics and reporting
- Implement Treasury policies at Corporate and Hubs
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of Treasury or related experience,
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field (required), Master of Business Administration (MBA) preferred
- Insurance brokerage experience preferred, with a preference for working knowledge of direct bill, agency bill, personal lines, commercial lines, employee benefits, and specialty insurance.
- Experience working with cash management and utilization processes; and experience working with the investment industry, related financial markets and institutions
- Experience working with financial operations concepts, practices, procedures, and financial software
- Experience working with compliance-related guidelines, laws, and regulations
- In-depth understanding of financial statements, cash flow drivers, credit metrics, corporate finance, and debt and equity capital markets
- Familiarity with Digital Finance technologies - Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook). Able to use Internet, and Bloomberg
- Analytical orientation with strong ability to develop and use metrics to make the business case for programs, align strategy with corporate goals and assess and justify the performance of programs
- Strong strategic management, planning, change management, and analytical skills with proven experience in orchestrating change in organization
- Strong comprehension skills for understanding needs and concerns and developing and applying solutions
- Strong interpersonal and influential skills to cultivate relationships, facilitate negotiations, and build partnerships with customers and key stakeholders
- Ability to publicly represent company with internal and external clients in sensitive and highly visible circumstances
