Minimum Required Education
- Bachelor’s degree
- Three or more years’ experience in data research, development of data sets, statistical analysis, narrative, and statistical reporting, and/or project management.
- Prefer: Work experience in higher education.
- Ability to be detail oriented.
- Ability to communicate orally and in writing.
- Ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of all information.
- Ability to think critically and apply appropriate problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
- Demonstrate analytical skills and proficiency in the preparation of reports.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Outlook, TEAMS, and Access.
- Working knowledge of using statistical software (e.g. Excel, Pivot Tables, Access, Power BI, etc.).
- Demonstrate customer service skills.
- Demonstrate initiative to engage in continuous learning of new concepts, skills, and experiences.

- Working knowledge of database systems and student information systems such as Jenzabar One.
- Accreditation and Planning Support- coordinate and support processes for institutional effectiveness such as instructional program review, administrative unit strategy, committee oversight and planning.
- Data Collection and Analysis- manage and support data collections through internal and external surveys and focus groups. Conduct an analysis of data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
- Data Collection and Analysis- compile quantitative data for ad hoc requests using a variety of resources such as Jenzabar One, Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board resources, Lightcast Labor Market/Alumni and other data software as needed.
- Project Coordination- coordinate activities surrounding the Quality Enhancement Plan “Focus on Financial Fitness” with various departments to host workshops, presentations, pop-up student events and activities for Financial Literacy Month for students and employees at all locations.
- Technology Utilization- utilize relevant technology and tools for data collection, analysis, and reporting. Stay informed about emerging technologies in institutional research. Assist cross-functional departments in the use of technology used in IE processes.
- Collaboration and Communication- collaborate with faculty, staff, and administrators to gather input and feedback for continuous improvement initiatives. Assist the Director of Institutional Effectiveness and Analytics in communicating research findings and recommendations effectively to various stakeholders, both in writing and through presentations
- Reporting- Assist the Director of Institutional Effectiveness and Analytics with the preparation of state, federal and internal reports as needed.
- Serves on college committees as necessary.
- Travels between campuses as necessary.
- Current Texas driver’s license
- Security sensitive position.
- Sedentary work: exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Involves sitting most of the time. Walking and standing are required occasionally.
