What are the responsibilities and job description for the CFO/COO position at HILL CONSTRUCTION LLC?

We are a custom home building company with 50 employees, looking for an experienced Chief Financial Officer / Chief Operating Officer, to oversee the company's financials, as well as help with general management. CFO/COO will provide both simple and high level accounting, job costing, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. General management skills are also a must, to help run the company, and help build company culture and accountability. CFO will perform all aspects of financial management ranging from simple accounting to complex job costing on multiple projects. The ideal candidate will be an excellent leader since all relative departments of the organization will be under their command. The goal is to protect the company’s revenues and profits to achieve full financial control and sustainable growth, while building a company that is an excellent place to work, supports individual growth, and is positioned well into the future.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the company’s job costing and accounting
  • Identify inefficiencies and take steps to increase efficiency
  • Help set up organization for efficient management structure and workflows
  • Supervise finance and bookkeeping personnel (office manager, business manager) as well as other management staff (salesman, estimator, 3 project managers, draftsman, interior designer)
  • Prepare reliable current and forecasting reports

Skills

  • Proven experience with high level accounting and management
  • Excellent knowledge of data analysis and job costing
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software (e.g. SAP)
  • Ability to strategize and solve problems
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • An analytical mind, comfortable with numbers
  • BSc/BA in Accounting, Finance or relevant field; MSc/MBA is a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
