Hillandale Farms, Hillandale Farms , CT farms are adding a Lead Processing Associate. The Lead – Processing Associate is primarily responsible for filling in for the absence of the Plant Manager and assisting the Plant Manager in day-to-day activities of the Shell Egg Processing Plant .
Essential Job Functions
- Oversee staffing needed to run the daily activities of the Processing Plant.
- Works directly with USDA, maintenance and office personnel as needed.
- Lead employees in a professional and respectful manner in order to be efficient and productive.
- Assure shipping labels are ready and available to employees.
- Complete all necessary documentation as needed.
- Complete quality checks on product.
- Assure all machinery is in good operating order and if not, notify maintenance personnel immediately.
- Assign Packer assignments for the shift.
- Learn all Processing Plant positions, i.e. Packer, Line/Rail Associate, Machine Operator, etc. in order to perform such position in the event of the need for coverage.
- Assure the Plant is clean at the end of day and ready for the next day processing.
- Assist Manager with special projects as requested.
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- At least two years of related experience preferred.
- An understanding of a manufacturing plants processes.
- Strong attention to detail required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; bi-lingual preferred.
- Excellent people management, organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Works well under pressure.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to anticipate work needs and interact professionally with customers and Hillandale team members.

- Must be able to lift up to 60lbs
