What are the responsibilities and job description for the Data Entry Clerk position at Hillebrand North America?
- Verify and capture data provided directly from logistics providers, customers, etc.
- Arrange and organize paperwork after capturing data and ensure there is a backup of records.
- Ensure that the data captured is accurate and correct.
- Validate that the collected data is accurate and correct.
- Report any missing data or inaccurate data to the supervisor.
- Generate spreadsheets containing large numbers of figures and ensure that it’s error-free.
- Perform regular backups to ensure data preservation.
- Extract data from electronic files or relevant databases when required.
- You will report either to a senior data team member or to the data manager.
- Keep data and customer records confidential.
- Consistently adhere to data security policies.
Qualifications
- Strongly preferred: 5 years in the shipping/logistics/supply chain management industry.
- Warehouse/fulfillment center experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Excel.
- Physical ability to: communicate clearly and accurately; frequently move items weighing up to 75 pounds; operate a computer and other office equipment.
