Coordinator, Mental Health
The HCPS Mental Health Coordinator will perform the following tasks to assist with the district's Mental Health Plan and Threat Management Plan.
Duties
- Assist in the coordination of Threat Assessment training and documentation of HCPS staff members taking the training.
- Monitor the online threat assessment platform to ensure documentation compliance and completed threat assessments and monitoring plans.
- Work directly with school-based threat assessment teams and provide coaching, training, and support in the area of threat assessment, documentation, and monitoring plans.
- Coordinate communication between HCPS departments and HCPS divisions as appropriate.
- Assist with state mental health mandates and laws.
- Other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities and tasks outlined in this document are not exhaustive and may change as determined by the needs of the district.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferred. Degree in educational leadership, administration/supervision, or related field preferred.
Experience: Two (2) years of increasingly responsible experience in education or project management related field, with two (2) years of related management or supervisory experience preferred.
Certificates/Licenses/Registrations: Florida Professional Educator Certificate in Educational Leadership, School Principal, or Administration and Supervision preferred.
