WHAT YOU'LL DO
The Essential Functions Include :
- Serve as a parent representative and support throughout the Wraparound process
- Assist parents and family in accessing and utilizing formal and informal community support
- Link the family to appropriate job related community resources and services
- Be willing to share personal experiences from their own children and families, in efforts to empower client family members
- Model and coach the client family in areas such as communication skills, anger management, job readiness and problem solving
- Attend and participate in regular Wraparound team meetings and staff meetings
- Participate in parent support groups/activities
- Be willing to work flexible hours and non-traditional hours on a regular basis and be on call in crisis situations
- Participate in Wraparound/Parent Partner trainings and meetings as assigned
- Develop and maintain accurate client records and participate in the development of needs/strengths assessment and Plan of Care
- Other duties as required

Equipment and Computer Software Skills and Abilities:
- Computer literate (working knowledge of Microsoft WORD, Excel, and Outlook) and data/electronic records program currently in use
- Able to use telephone, office copier, calculator, fax machine, computer printer and scanner, or other equipment as required

WHAT YOU'LL BRING*
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and CERTIFICATES*
- High School Diploma Required
- Must be a parent of a child who has had involvement with DCFS, Probation or Mental Health Services or a parent or relative caregiver of a special-needs child
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred
- Knowledge of the Juvenile Court System preferred
- Knowledge of community resources and networking skills
- Valid California drivers license, driving record and personal vehicle insurance acceptable to Hillsides' insurance carrier

This position performs tasks that may involve exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues. All Hillsides employees are offered the opportunity to receive the Hepatitis B vaccination series.
