What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bartender West position at Hilton Grand Vacations?
What will I be doing?
As a Bartender, you will be responsible for driving company success through performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Serves food and beverages to members, owners, and guests; anticipating their needs and responding promptly to any and all requests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Immediately greets and acknowledges all arriving members, owners, and guests in a friendly and welcoming manner in accordance with departmental procedures
- Operates cash register and/or Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Adheres to all cash handling guidelines as set forth by the Company.
- Responsible for all alcohol and supplies in bar and cash bank accountability.
- Maintains positive guest relations through good communication skills, proper demeanor, correct body language and eye contact, to ensure customer happiness and enhance the overall culinary experience.
- Extends a courteous and friendly departure to all members, owners, and guests; thanking them for dining with us and inviting them back again, with a genuine and professional demeanor.
- Clears and resets tables, as needed.
- Completes all closing side work, inspecting for cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of all work areas and of the outlet itself.
- Takes ownership of any guest problems and resolve them according to departmental guidelines.
- Maintains complete knowledge of table/seat/station numbers, room capacity, hours of operation and proper table set-up.

- A minimum of one (1) year of experience in the culinary field required.
License & certifications
- Health Card – must be state/county-specific.
- Food Handler’s Card – must be state/county-specific.
- Alcohol Awareness Training Certification – must be state/county-specific.

- Cash handling skills (the ability to count currency, make and count back change).
