What will I be doing? The Senior Manager, Product Management Payments role will help elevate Hilton's digital payments capabilities across multiple channels, including digital web, mobile app, commercial and on-property platforms.
In this role, you will drive innovation, bringing new payment methods to market as well as optimize existing payment methods. Additionally, you will work across various business functions, technology teams, service providers and hotels to define, deliver and ensure the success of payments products and features. You must be comfortable working through uncertainty, solidifying the product vision, and committed to ensuring excellent outcomes through the products/services that you drive. You should also be flexible and able to successfully lead multiple initiatives concurrently. In addition, you will need to be forward-thinking in understanding how payments innovations can drive value for the millions of customers who shop and stay with Hilton every day.
More specifically, you will:
- Productize and lead new product initiatives in the payments space.
- Write high-level and detailed product requirements.
- Handle tasks in product collaboration system (e.g. Jira) and product coordination/communication (e.g Confluence) and other relevant systems.
- Provide leadership on product decisions and at times make and own key product decisions.
- Play lead role in product service provider (partner) collaboration and engagement related to the assigned product.
- Manage product from very early in lifecycle through go-to-market and post-deployment for an assigned duration. This includes defining/analyzing a product's key success metrics and quickly acting on trends that arise from those metrics.
- Conduct/manage reporting for product, industry, customer segment(s), and other domains as determined.
- Apply strategic and critical thinking to identify new opportunities that will improve revenue, lead to business growth and satisfy customer needs.
- Perform project management function as needed, which includes handling bottlenecks, providing escalation management, anticipating and deciding on trade-offs, and ultimately balancing business demands with technical/time constraints.
- Provide leadership in the creation of business cases for new product concepts and be able to present to both technical and non-technical partners.
- Participate in and contribute significantly to the product planning process
- Provide mentoring within the team and across teams as required.
Requirements

To fulfill this role successfully, you should demonstrate the following minimum qualifications:
- Eight (8) years of work experience in product, customer experience, technology, or related field
- Eight (8) years working with external partners and/or technology providers to define/manage solutions
- Five (5) years of payments experience, including digital payment methods, wallets, installment products, etc.
- Five (5) years of experience working in an eCommerce (web and/or app) environment
- Experience in key product management functions, including writing user stories, crafting wireframes, market research, and reporting metrics
It would be useful in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Associate’s Degree plus 6 years of Product-related experience, or High School Degree/GED plus 12 years of Product-related experience
- Twelve (12) years of work experience in product, customer experience, technology, or related field
- Four (4) years of Agile approach to product development
- Two (2) years of hospitality, travel, or transportation industry experience
- Experience working with a complex multi-functional matrix environment.
- Experience with A/B testing and creating hypotheses that drive customer value
