What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate, DEI & Recognition position at Hilton?

Our Global HR team partners with our business leaders to attract, retain, and develop Hilton's most important asset, our Team Members.

What will I be doing?

Associate, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion (DEI), and Recognition role will be responsible for the support, planning, and execution of Hilton's global DEI efforts, along with hotel and corporate recognition programs. A visible role that will interact with all functions and levels of the organization, and external vendors and partners. They will dually support both functions and broader talent initiatives, as needed.

More specifically, you will:
  • Support the success of seasonal and ongoing programs/initiatives based on the needs of Team Members
  • Manages, organizes, and implements all internal and external program communications, and social media content across both functions.
  • Manages department inboxes, maintains team calendar, supports lobby page maintenance, list serves, and archived files.
  • Raise awareness of tools and resources for hotels and corporate offices and provide timely responses for the various Recognition email outlets.
  • Designs and facilitates presentations for recognition tools and resources, and supports campus engagement events as needed.
  • Builds and maintains ongoing relationships with internal stakeholders, hotel contacts, vendors, outside agencies, and other groups to deliver on programs and initiatives.
  • Assist in the timely processing of department invoices and payments.

  • Excellent project management skills, including handling details through to completion and ensuring project deadlines are met
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to effectively address any issue; ability to proactively identify and prevent potential issues; ability to help develop analytical skills among other team members as appropriate
  • Absolute discretion and confidentiality regarding sensitive information
  • Ability to work independently; includes the ability to recognize the need for involvement of supervisor and other teams/peers
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to clearly and concisely express ideas both verbally and in writing
  • Excellent interpersonal skills that build trust and instill confidence to motivate and influence others
  • Proficient skills in creating compelling visuals (PowerPoint) and using Microsoft Word, Excel

To fulfill this role successfully, you should demonstrate the following minimum qualifications:
  • Three (3) years of professional experience
  • One (1) year of experience in managing projects in collaboration with multiple departments
  • Ability to travel 10% domestically and internationally
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

It would be useful in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:
  • BA/BS/Bachelor's Degree or MA/MS/Master's Degree in related field
  • Three (3) years of experience in the hospitality industry
  • Five (5) years of project management experience
