Hims and Hers is looking for an experienced accounting professional to join the Accounting Operations team and lead accounting workstreams relating to treasury operations and provider payments. You will focus on day-to-day accounting operations, including daily cash activities, corporate credit card transactions, intercompany transactions, and provider payments. In addition, you will lead projects focusing on establishing and streamlining daily accounting processes to ensure transactions are recorded accurately and timely in the financial records.
Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day accounting treasury operations, including posting of daily cash activities across multiple bank accounts and reconciling bank accounts for month-end close.
- Manage corporate credit card transactions across multiple card programs. Create and maintain coding rules in Brex in order to accurately record transactions into the general ledger.
- Manage weekly and monthly accounting processes relating to our provider network, including calculation and processing of monthly payments and maintaining of provider vendor records.
- Maintain intercompany management fee calculation model, including booking journal entries to record intercompany transactions.
- Perform reconciliations in connection with month-end close, including including bank, credit card, intercompany and provider account reconciliations, ensuring adherence to high standards of accuracy and completeness.
- Assist with month-end coding reviews related to cash and Brex CC entries.
- Review the work performed by the offshore accounting team and prepare new training instructions for the offshore accounting team as needed.
- Prepare quarterly senior management review presentation for flux analysis related to cash, intercompany, credit card and provider accounts.
- Address ad-hoc requests and resolve issues arising from daily accounting operations processes.
- Enhance accounting procedures to adhere to the public company Sarbanes-Oxley Act control requirements. Perform reconciliations to adhere to public company control standards.
- Automate, streamline and re-design processes to develop the most effective and accurate booking of transactions and reconciliations.
Experience & Skills:
- 5 years of experience in the accounting profession with direct experience managing daily accounting operations required.
- BA or BS degree from a top-ranking university in accounting, business administration, or economics required.
- Netsuite and Brex experience strongly preferred.
- CPA track preferred
- Advanced Excel skills required.
- Top-level critical thinking and analytical skills.
- Detail-oriented and exceptionally organized.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to think through complex problems, determine proper processes, derive accounting conclusions, and present results to the team.
- Able to multi-task, prioritize, and manage projects/tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to be a team player, and ability to work well in both In-Person & Remote work environments.
