What are the responsibilities and job description for the EH&S Coordinator position at Hire Horizons?
Our client seeks an experienced Environmental Health & Safety Coordinator (EH&S) who holds a bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Safety Industrial Hygiene, or other such related academic achievements or has equivalent work experience.
A minimum of 5 years’ EH&S regulatory and / or management experience is required with DEEP, FDA, OSHA, NEPA and / or DOT background experience.
The EH&S Coordinator’s primary focus is to safeguard the environment, our client’s manufacturing employee network, as well as protect our client’s customer base through assuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
The selected candidate will be responsible for isolating / identifying potential hazards and unsafe manufacturing conditions.
That individual shall identify hazardous chemicals, monitor their respective storage tracking, shipping and / or process applications that may be active within our client’s manufacturing processes.
The successful candidate will serve as our client's subject matter expert while ensuring the company's compliance with state and federal regulations are maintained.
The EH&S Coordinator is required to respond to call-in hazmat and safety issues while representing the company as it's primary point of contact for all regulatory agencies regarding inspections / permitting matters.
The selected professional will also oversee environmental plans and track all environmental permits. Ideally, the selected candidate should possess a working knowledge of ISO 13485 : 2003, GLP, cFMP,, FDA, ISO 9001 : 2008, and other applicable standards.
