What are the responsibilities and job description for the Automation QA position at Hire IT People Inc?
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure high-quality software releases
- Conduct root cause analysis of identified defects and provide recommendations for resolution
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and ensure proper test coverage
- Perform manual and automated testing using tools such as Selenium, Cucumber, and Eclipse
- Create and maintain test documentation including test plans, test cases, and defect reports
- Participate in agile development processes including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives
- Conduct functional, regression, integration, and performance testing as needed
- Identify and report software defects in a clear and concise manner
- Collaborate with developers to reproduce and debug issues
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Analyst or similar role
- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
- Experience with both manual and automated testing techniques
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java or C#
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Experience with continuous integration tools such as Jenkins or Bamboo
- Knowledge of mobile testing on Android platforms
- Familiarity with JSON data format
- Experience with defect tracking systems such as JIRA or Bugzilla
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Note: Windows architecture experience is a plus.
