Hire Resolve's client is urgently seeking the expertise of an Environmental Engineer to join their team in Tampa FL.
Responsibilities
- Work with Senior Project Managers to scope, cost, plan, and execute remediation projects;
- Prepare for work activities, e.g., plan field work, develop work plans, and coordinate with subcontractors and clients;
- Delegate work effectively to junior staff to meet project goals
- Shepherd the training and development of emerging staff talent through collaboration, coaching, and varied and diverse work assignments;
- Interpret geological, hydrogeological, and chemical data from contaminated sites (and collaborate with TRC-s geologists and hydrogeologists to establish conceptual site models;
- Evaluate, design and implement soil and groundwater remediation systems, including developing rationales and cost estimates;
- Assist in the development of field work plans and manage field work execution;
- Prepare air and discharge to groundwater permit applications;
- Write and review technical documents, reports and designs, ensuring consistent delivery of materials.
- Ensure Quality Assurance/Quality Control of deliverables pertaining to projects and tasks self-managed, as well as projects and tasks managed by others, in accordance with TRC-s procedures.
- Work well with dynamic project teams and junior staff.
- Maintain a billable utilization target and perform work in accordance with agreed upon budget for the scope of work and schedule with minimal supervision.
- Have strong communications skills, both written and oral.
- Qualified candidates must be comfortable with periodic regional travel and client support.
- B.S. degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
- EIT is required, PE license (Civil or Environmental).
- Minimum eight (8 to 10) years of groundwater and soil remediation experience and/or civil/site design experience. Should have progressive responsibilities in task management and remediation design.
- Field experience with construction oversight, subcontractor oversight, drilling, soil classification, multi-media sampling, well installations, and remediation systems (installation, shakedown, OMM, retrofits).
- Knowledge of Massachusetts environmental site remediation regulations and technical guidance.
- Experience with design support, cost estimating, procurement (contracting, requests for proposals, and bid evaluations/selections)
- 40 Hour HAZWOPER certification and current annual renewal.
- Proficiency with MS Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Conversant with Microsoft Project or equivalent project scheduling packages.
- Experience with AutoCAD is a plus.
- Strong commitment to safety, including following established Health and Safety protocols.
- Valid driver-s license and a good driving record.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with troubleshooting/problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle multiple project commitments at one time.
- Salary: $90K/yr - $120K/yr, salary negotiable
