Their classrooms are safe, nurturing environments for children six weeks to five years, offering age-appropriate opportunities to explore and discover. Highly trained teachers lead each child to reach developmental milestones, preparing the children for social and academic success.
Our client is seeking an energetic and organized full-time Early Childhood Education Program Director to join their brand new premier early learning facility in Lorton. This position allows you to mesh your experience in early childhood education with your communications and creative skills to guide a passionate team of childcare professionals who make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families in their community every day.
The school offers three mixed-age classrooms as follows; 6-weeks to 16-months, 16-months to 3-years-old, and 3-years-old to 5-years-old and the position would be for either the Infant or Toddler age groups.
Salary and Benefits:
- $52,000 - $57,000/year pending education, credentials, and professional experience

Job Responsibilities:
- Lead either the Infant or Toddler educator teams in curriculum and lesson planning by conducting classroom observations to ensure the implementation and delivery of the HighScope curriculum
- Delight parents and proactively resolve their concerns in a professional and polite manner
- Provide creative, age-appropriate programs to all children served at the school
- Create a culture of engagement by empowering teachers to find solutions
- Identify and organize professional development opportunities and provide regular coaching and feedback to all team members
- Work in concert with the Executive Director to recruit, hire, oversee performance, professional growth & development, and retention of all team members
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or Elementary Education required
- At least 3-years of experience in a leadership role at a licensed early childhood education facility required
- At least 2-years of teaching experience in a licensed early childhood education facility required
- A desire to grow professionally
- Meet background check eligibility
