The Technical Support Manager is responsible for managing the front line support team to ensure the successful operation of Kit Check technical systems both for our customers and employees. This includes maintaining and supporting Kit Check products deployed in the field as well as managing desktop support and broadband and telephony services for Kit Check’s home office and remote staff.
The Technical Support Manager is a customer advocate and continuously works to improve the customer experience. They are responsible for coaching the support team and developing career paths. They manage performance, oversee professional development, and help manage the relationship between the support group and other technical and non-technical departments at Kit Check.
Duties and Responsibilities
Lead the front line support team by acting as coach and mentor, creating work schedules, approving hours, and recruiting and hiring new members
Define, implement, and manage service support policies, agreements and standards; and initiate and direct reviews, audits, and risk assessments
Provide input and help implement security related risks and decisions (Security Council)
Coordinate cross-department responsibilities in customer facing incidents
Evaluate and manage IT purchases and inventory tracking system while ensuring consumables are at appropriate levels
Maintain ticket tracking and employee productivity management system (Desk.com)
Manage and perform on-boarding and off-boarding tasks
Assist in completion of IT approval surveys from hospitals as requested by sales team
Maintain security cameras
Serve as the support administrator on a rotating basis, including on-call responsibilities
Other projects as assigned
Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor’s degree
2- 5 years experience managing a support or customer facing team with a demonstrated ability to lead and motivate others
Excellent customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to work in a fast paced environment
Advanced troubleshooting abilities with end-user customers
This position is a remote position and open to applicants in the continental United States.
