Driver Assistant

Job Overview: We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Driver Assistant to join our team. As a Driver Assistant, you will work closely with our drivers to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of goods to our customers. This is a physically demanding role that requires attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: - Assist the driver in loading and unloading goods onto the delivery vehicle - Secure cargo for transport to prevent damage or shifting during transit - Assist with navigation and provide directions to the driver as needed - Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the delivery vehicle - Maintain cleanliness and organization of the delivery vehicle - Communicate effectively with customers and provide excellent customer service - Follow all safety protocols and regulations while on the job Experience: - Previous experience as a Delivery Driver or Driver Assistant is preferred - Familiarity with courier or route driving is a plus - Knowledge of refrigerated trailers and van driving is beneficial - Experience working in a warehouse or distribution center is desirable - Ability to operate equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts is a plus Skills: - Valid driver's license with a clean driving record - Strong physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) - Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines - Attention to detail and accuracy in handling goods and paperwork - Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment This position offers competitive pay based on experience. Note: All positions must be paid, including internship positions.
