Overview
The Accounts Payable Supervisor will be responsible for payment of vendors for the Americas entities, including vendor set up and internal controls for invoice approvals. Duties include review of daily record keeping, financial reporting and the preparation of records for financial audits. In addition, this role will assist the AP Manager with analyzing financial information to optimize the effectiveness of the accounts payable function, including the evaluation and implementation of a supplier portal.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for hiring, supervising, training and developing a team of 3-5 AP professionals.
- Responsible for EMEA AP team and activities.
- Responsible month-end reconciliation of AP subledger to ledger.
- Analyzing approval workflow processes.
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with new and existing vendors.
- Coordinate due dates for invoice payments.
- Review the weekly bank/cash reconciliations.
- Comparing purchase orders, prices, terms of payment and other charges.
- Ensuring all vendor payments are made timely and accurately.
- Ensuring financial controls are adhered to and all procedures and processes are followed in accordance with company's accounting policies.
- Assist with implementing best practices, help drive continuous improvement and proactively recommend better and more efficient solutions.
- Assist the AP Manager with reviewing KPI’s, assessing process improvements and taking action on approved recommendations for process changes.
- Ensure that account payable is prepared for external audits and that auditor requests are prepared in a timely manner.
- Assist with escheatment process, in conjunction with external service provider.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- At least 8 years of Accounts Payable experience.
- At least 2 years of Accounts Payable leadership experience.
- English at least at the B2 level.
- Advanced Word, PowerPoint, Excel (Pivots, V-lookups, graphs).
