Data Processing Clerk
Major Function
The Data Processor will perform routine clerical work associated with data processing
work methods and procedures. The Data Processor’s duties are varied and require the
application of independent judgement and the maintenance of written controls to ensure
the accuracy of data produced. The Data Processor performs duties under the general
supervision of an immediate supervisor, who evaluates performance through
observation of work, periodic conferences, critiques, and/or records and reports.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Performs a variety of routine clerical work related to data processing systems,
such as schedule changes, attendance, grades, and program activities.
• Collect and perform data entry tasks for all student data required by the State
and Federal Department of Education (DOE) and the school.
• Registers students at the school.
• Gathers information, organizes materials, and enters full-time equivalency (FTE)
data as directed.
• Prepares reports for instructional staff relative to various student records,
including grades and attendance.
• Perform numerous essential record-keeping tasks to organize and maintain
department information and filing systems.
• Create, maintain, and verify accuracy of various departmental reports and
databases as requested.
• File various documents and records as instructed by departmental guidelines and
retrieve files upon request.
• Establish, collect, organize, and maintain data pertaining to assigned clerical
tasks and compose departmental reports as requested.
• Performs general school office clerical duties, such as “counter coverage” and
preparing correspondence to parents and school staff.
• Collaborate with multiple teams within Pepin Academies including, but not limited
to, administrators, teachers, IT and FTE analyst to determine the accuracy of all
data.
• Answer telephone inquiries concerning departmental activities and operations;
accept, screen, and route telephone calls; and greet and direct visitors.
• Assist with the resolution of minor routine administrative and operational
situations.
• Contact preparers of source documents to resolve questions, inconsistencies, or
missing data.
• Supervises students while in the office for various reasons.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
High school graduate or equivalent.
Ability to type at least 40 per minute.
Ability to meet and work effectively with the public.
Ability to maintain effective working relationships with all employees.
Knowledge of office procedures.
One year of experience in office work
