The Strategic Initiatives organizations role is to partner (Key Enabler) with senior leaders across the Services, Markets, Banking and Functions (SMBF) Technology organization to ensure proper governance over our top Strategic Initiatives and to drive productivity improvements to deliver on the organizations financial and non-financial goals. This position is part of a global team spread across Europe and North America with a mix of program managers/analysts and senior strategic process engineers.
The Strategic Initiatives Process Engineering Lead will partner the Business and O&T leaders to deliver priority one strategic programs focused on improving risk and control, client experience, process efficiency and revenue expansion utilizing the CitiLean Smart Automation methodology.
This role is responsible for driving large scale global programs with measurable outcomes, capability building and driving process excellence across the functions. This role also partners with Agile leaders across the firm to bring best practices to the organization and to drive changes to the enterprise tools and procedures to better align with Agile.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for scoping, directing & managing a portfolio of CitiLean and Smart Automation projects within or across businesses.
- Collaborate with Agile Leaders across the firm to bring best practices to the organization.
- Engage with global partners responsible for enterprise project management tools and procedures to identify and drive changes that will better align the way teams work in Agile with the tools they are required to use.
- Develop and execute influencing strategies to build & increase buy-in and business leadership support.
- Accountable for achieving measurable and sustainable operational efficiency results, and consequently, financial benefits. Provides technical expertise, and overall expert advice.
- Interface with business, key stakeholders, champions & reengineering leadership. Proactively communicates with senior leadership.
- Shape large re-engineering programs of projects, define business cases and gain stakeholder buy in for CitiLean and Smart Automation projects
- Form project teams and create documentation to deliver CitiLean and Smart Automation projects.
- Run project workshops, pilots, and other delivery activities.
- Execute communication campaign to senior stakeholders across all impacted areas.
- Maintain accurate documentation including plans, financials, and control points for each project.
- Create and maintain analysis supporting re-engineering projects.
- Direct analysis resources to deliver project related supporting material.
- Assist business managers to identify where saves have been achieved and ensure that saves are realized
- Work with cross-business teams to ensure communication is effective and achievements are communicated in a streamlined fashion.

Job Skills/Qualifications:
- Minimum of 15 years total work experience (ideally with deep experience in financial services)
- Minimum 10 years of Lean or Six-Sigma experience including use of all relevant tools and delivery of training
- Minimum 5 years of Agile experience.
- Previous experience in supporting the build-out and running of a pipeline of transformation work at an organizational level
- Previous experience leading or developing automation solutions for Operations and Services (and particularly with Robotics) will be highly valued
- Strong data analytics capabilities especially cost analysis and internal/external benchmarking
- Ability to work effectively with senior managers and with large teams across countries, functions and businesses
- Strong communication skills and the ability to structure logical analysis in presentations
- Excel and PowerPoint skills are key
- An understanding of Citi's businesses, the major strategic issues and the senior management landscape would be beneficial

Educational Level:
- Bachelor's degree, MBA (desirable but not required)
- Process re-engineering / Lean Certification (Desirable)
