What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance position at HIT, Inc.?
Responsible for the general maintenance/repair of company-owned buildings, grounds, and vehicles. This position must respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner, including emergencies. Some purchasing of products is necessary.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Compiles bids on various projects and purchases as needed.
- Inspects HIT buildings and grounds for maintenance needs.
- Performs minor building and equipment repairs and alterations.
- Tracks maintenance repairs/costs.
- Requisitions tools, equipment, and supplies.
- Completes work per maintenance requests within an adequate time frame.
- Drives company-owned vehicles during work hours.
- Complies with company policies and safety regulations.
- Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet schedules.
- Provides the highest standard of workmanship.
- Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency.
- Carries cell phone to be able to respond effectively to maintenance requests.
