Distribution Center Manager

Hit Promotional Products has an immediate opening for a 2nd shift Distribution Center Manager in our brand new, state-of-the-art facility, in Spring Hill.

This is a 2nd shift position and salary is $65K /annually, depending on relevant experience.

As a Distribution Center Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our distribution center in Spring Hill, FL. You will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day production, maintaining quality standards, and fostering a dynamic and efficient work environment. Your leadership will be crucial in achieving production goals, exceeding quotas, and upholding profitability.

Essential Job Functions:

• Organize workflow to meet delivery schedules and complete assigned jobs.
• Supervise, motivate, and support the warehouse staff daily.
• Monitor and address employee and temporary associate activities.
• Maintain organized and acceptable storage of delivered products.
• Ensure adherence to production standards and procedures.
• Streamline the storage and retrieval of goods through effective layout planning.
• Ensure compliance with worker safety and health regulations.
• Conduct distribution team meetings, plan workloads, and set goals.
• Conduct employee safety training as required.

Financial Control:

• Manage warehouse costs and improve profitability.
• Conduct and oversee accurate inventories.
• Advise Warehouse Director on productivity enhancements.
• Evaluate and troubleshoot production equipment.
• Coordinate and manage inventory supplies to minimize waste and spoilage.
• Maintain a safe work environment and warehouse upkeep.

General and Administrative:

• Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
• Supervise the warehouse team to prioritize jobs and reorganize as needed.
• Comply with OSHA safety requirements.
• Communicate effectively with the Warehouse Director and Team.
• Follow company manuals and guides, ensuring policy adherence.
• Meet assigned goals and assist others in accomplishing theirs.

Requirements:

• High school Diploma or GED with experience or vocational/technical certification.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• 3-5 years warehouse experience.
• Minimum 5 years supervisory experience of at least 25 employees.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, WMS, ERP software.
• Strong mathematical skills.
• Ability to apply written instructions to machine set up and maintenance.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and familiarity with team-building techniques.
• Working knowledge of operations including automated workflow systems.

Physical Demands:

• Standing for prolonged periods (up to 8 hours or more per day).
• Frequent lifting of objects up to 40 lbs.
• Work area may have fluorescent lighting.
• Moderate to loud noise level.
• Fast-paced environment subject to schedule changes and short notice activity.
