About the Global Digital HR Group
At this exciting time in our growth, Hitachi’s Global Digital HR team has implemented Workday as Hitachi’s global HR people & talent management system. This foundation has helped Hitachi achieve consistent processes across the core employee lifecycle, as well as performance management and talent reviews, and via Prism Analytics and other reports & dashboards, Hitachi now has global visibility of people and organizational data. We are also expanding our functional footprint to include Recruiting, Learning and Expenses, and continuing to roll-out Workday across any new acquisitions within the Hitachi Group.
In order to ensure that the group is able to extract as much value as possible from Workday and related HR applications, the Customer Success and Value team will be working with key stakeholders across Hitachi’s many Business Units to understand their key business priorities and technology requirements, and then partnering with our solution delivery, change management and technical architecture functions to deliver key enhancements and improvements.
The Role
The Project Manager will be part of Hitachi’s Global Digital HR Group’s Recruiting & Onboarding PM team. They will be responsible for supporting global Workday Recruiting and Onboarding company expansion and enhancement projects. We are looking for a highly organized and motivated individual, who has demonstrated successes supporting Human Resources projects in a global corporate environment. They should have excellent interpersonal skills and will be required to work constructively with people across various functional teams and geographies to facilitate project deliverables. Responsibilities
Recruiting/Onboarding Implementation Projects for New Companies
Create and manage Smartsheet tools.
Manage RAID Log, Change Control Timeline, etc.
Execution for follow-up on action items with relevant stakeholders.
Recruiting/Onboarding Enhancements
Liaise directly with the COE team in a business analyst capacity to test new enhancements and to provide feedback.
Global Career Site
Coordinate career site projects/enhancements and manage enhancement projects like new multilingual career site and job distribution.
Status tracking, follow-up with stakeholders, testing of new enhancements/fixes.
Support new company scrapes.
Troubleshoot issues/raise tickets.
Training Sessions & System Demos
Maintain master decks.
Create new slides/decks or other materials as needed.
Reporting
Coordinate intake of new requirements
Support CoE testing requirements and prepare to move to Prod
Change Management
Log, track and document change controls.
Weekly/Monthly PMO Updates
Responsible for updating PMO dashboards and slide decks.
Monthly Group Company Updates
Prepare slides/lead calls.
Recruiting/Onboarding Ticket Support
Work directly with support team to give guidance on recruiting and onboarding tickets.
Contracts & Legal Documents
Coordinate contract renewal details with external vendors and request PO approvals.
Track/coordinate any change requests, translation requirements or electronic signature processes for legal documents.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience supporting projects in Human Resources
2 to 3 years’ project management experience supporting HR projects in a global corporate business environment
Project execution excellence when working independently or across a team to fulfill project milestones within budget and agreed upon timelines
Technology savvy
Ability to multitask; successfully work on multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to work independently under tight timelines with multiple deadlines
Ability to work independently as part of a fast paced, globally dynamic high performing team
Strong internal customer orientation
Ability to learn quickly
Ability to pay attention to detail and think critically
Willingness to jump in and problem solve
Excellent communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft applications to automate processes and share information (Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Excel, Smartsheet)
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Workday as a user or through an implementation
Experience with building Smartsheet and Microsoft Project deliverables, including plans, reports, dashboards, or workflows
Experience supporting system integrations with exposure to or knowledge of Web Services, APIs is a plus.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
