Description
Duties and responsibilities:
- Wire products models to P&I, assembly drawings, WD drawings, and Work Instructions.
- Complete P&I, WD, and Blueprint training.
- Install heat trace per P&I, WD, and Work Instructions.
- Complete basic computer training.
- Utilize SAP, QMS, and Operator Portal for daily activities.
- Pass utility wiring qualifying exam.
- Pass lockout-tagout training and be comfortable working on high-voltage (575V) machines.
- Progression to wire all standard products model, at least (4) station built model families, and in-house starter boxes.
- Systematically troubleshoot electrical failures and assist in determining solutions.
- Notify Supervisor, Quality, and/or Engineering of BOM or part quality issues.
- Follow non-conformance part procedure.
- Flex between production lines and starter box wiring based upon production demands.
Qualifications:
Education:
- High school education or equivalent.
- Must have the basic reading skills necessary to perform the functions of the job.
Professional experience:
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot problems.
- Basic understanding of electricity and motor control systems.
- Capable of reading and understanding bills of material (BOM), piping and instrumentation (P&I) drawings, wiring diagrams (WD), and Work Instructions (WCI).
- Must be involved in 6S activities, value stream mapping, TPM, and collection of QCPC data.
Key behaviors:
- Lifting up to 35 lbs. Lifting over 35 lbs. requires a lifting device, crane/hoist, or assistance by another associate.
- Possible shock from high pot testing.
- Must understand and comply with the 5 Cardinal Rules.
- Participate in EHS quarterly audits, if required.
- Required to wear the proper PPE equipment for the work area.
- Required to attend scheduled toolbox and safety meetings.
- Must immediately report injuries or unsafe conditions to the supervisor.
