TITLE - Remediation Superintendent
LOCATIONS - On-site daily between Douglas, GA and Fitzgerald, GA

POSITION SUMMARY / PURPOSE
The Remediation Superintendent is responsible for supervising general laborers from 3rd party vendors to ensure and maintain quality production, ensure project costs and schedules are being adhered to and project deadlines are met. The Remediation Superintendent may be expected to participate in the physical completion of mold remediation tasks, in addition to project managing and overseeing the external vendors and contractors and ensure the adherence to Company protocols, PPE, and safety policies and procedures. Travel to sites daily is required.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- The Remediation Superintendent oversees all site activities directed by the 3rd party remediation service provider to insure minimal risk to the property and Company.
- Oversees the onsite team, communicates clearly with property owners and company leadership and subcontractors in order to complete the project quickly and efficiently. This includes maintaining the highest quality workmanship by managing quality control and incorporating good construction safety practices with all jobsite activities.
- When needed perform remedial tasks to include but not limited to, excavation, shoring, in situ treatment, waste export, and/or demolition services, in accordance with established company policies and procedures and in compliance with each projects requirements.
- Supervises technicians and General Laborers (GL) to maintain quality production.
- Maintaining project budget to ensure compliance with Company expectations.
- Ensures good safety practices are followed at all times on the jobsite.
- Monitors the crews and work areas
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Must possess 5 years’ experience within the mold remediation sector and the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to successfully fulfill the major duties and responsibilities of this role.
Some key requirements to fulfill the position may include, but not be limited to:
- Demonstrated ability to manage and work with other people.
- Ability to read, write, and speak the English language to communicate with others, in person, on the phone, and by written communications in a clear, straightforward, and professional manner. Multi or Bi-lingual language skills are a plus but not required.
- Intermediate problem-solving skills.
- Detailed oriented with an emphasis on safety guidelines, policies, and procedures.
- Should attain the OSHA 30-Hour General Industry training certification.
- Must be an active or prior Certified Renovator for the EPA Lead Renovation, Repair and Painting (RRP) Program and/or actively certified as an IICRC Water Damage Restoration Technician (WRT) and Applied Microbial Remediation Technician (AMRT) depending on the work activities being supervised.
- Able to continuously bend, kneel, squat, stand, and list heavy objects as needed (upwards of 50 lbs)
- Ability to climb ladders, work at ceiling heights, work in tight spaces (e.g., crawl spaces, attics)
- Ability to repetitively push/pull/lift/carry objects
- Ability to work with/around cleaning products/chemicals and biohazardous situations/materials
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Ability to wear various forms of personal protective equipment (PPE); goggles, Tyvek suits, N95's, respirators, etc.
Working Conditions
- Fast-paced, high pressure work environment.
- Hours may vary depending on the size and scope of the project but will typically consist of eight (8) to ten (10) hour days.
- Ability to sit/stand/walk for prolonged periods of time with approximately eighty percent (80%) of the time in a standing or walking position.
- Ability to travel locally to 2 locations within the state of Georgia
