Benefits Manager
HITT Contracting is seeking an experienced and passionate Manager to lead our Benefits team and be responsible for the Benefits strategy and execution for our nationwide workforce. This role requires strong business acumen with the ability to articulate best practices, data, and recommendations to senior business leaders within the organization. This individual will be responsible for the implementation of Benefits practices as well as conducting and overseeing the individual “total rewards” plans available to HITT Team Members, including healthcare, life, disability, wellness, and retirement programs. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes considerable pride in ensuring a best-in-class candidate experience. The Benefits Manager will develop, implement, administer, and maintain benefits programs, policies, and procedures. This position reports to the Payroll Manager.

Responsibilities:
- Manage full-scale and compliant benefit plan, including design, liaise with vendors/carriers, HRIS administration, and outbound communication to stakeholders
- Develop, prepare, and execute annual open enrollment cycle
- Monitor, evaluate, and report on key Benefits metrics to ensure quality delivery and strategic benchmark trends
- Manage the 401k plan, including records maintenance, support of financial audits, and completion of required regulatory filings; conduct biannual fiduciary meetings and partner with 401k advisor on plan improvements and compliance
- Triage and resolving complex employee benefit scenarios; provide counsel to team members with claims process, leaves of absence, and carrier escalations, as needed
- Regular collaboration with Human Resources & Payroll teams surrounding plan premiums
- Promote HITT’s culture, brand, and values through wellness events and newsletters
- Supervise, train, and mentor one direct report
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- 6 years of professional Benefits/talent acquisition experience
- CEBS or SHRM-CP certification a plus but not required
- Strong command of ERISA compliance, and Federal disclosures (Form 5500, 1095-C etc.)
- Working knowledge of fundamental HR principles, practices, and regulations surrounding FMLA, ADA, etc.
- Highly proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
- Proven success in leading and developing direct reports
- Experience in implementing and executing initiatives related to diversity and workforce inclusion
- Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage competing demands while being adaptable and flexible
- Proven success achieving goals both independently and collaboratively
