Strategic Projects Lead

Hivemapper is building the world's freshest map using street-level imagery contributed by a community of everyday drivers, large fleets, and everyone in between. We have over 60,000 contributors around the world, and have now mapped over 13M unique kilometers, or more than 21% of the world's roads.

Map data customers use Hivemapper’s developer-friendly APIs to access fresher road imagery and map feature datasets than any centralized mapping project can offer. Some examples of map data customers include enterprise technology, mapping, robotaxis, rideshares, and real estate!

Position Overview

The Strategic Projects Lead plays a pivotal role in driving key initiatives at Hivemapper. This position will captivate your passion for leading cross-functional projects, developing innovative products, and solving complex challenges.

• Lead cross-functional projects involving Engineering, Operations, and Go-to-Market teams.
• Develop and enhance products to meet the needs of strategic customers and initiatives.
• Address and tackle some of the company’s most significant challenges.
• Deliver regular progress reports to the executive team.

• Over 3 years of experience in product development, operational processes, or as a SWE.
• Robust technical background (ideally a degree in computer science or economics, with proficiency in data analytics using SQL and Python as a minimum requirement).
• Strong problem-solving skills (experience with operational challenges or consulting is a plus).
• Entrepreneurial mindset with enthusiasm for building projects from the ground up.
• Exceptional communication and collaboration abilities.
