DEPARTMENT: Paint Department

POSITION ACCOUNTABLE TO: Production Manager

POSITION TYPE: Full-time, hourly (non-exempt)

JOB SUMMARY:

o The Painter is responsible for applying paint coatings, collaborating with team leads, and ensuring high-quality work in alignment with production schedules. This role involves innovating new techniques for efficient painting, while maintaining punctuality and promptly reporting issues to management. Success in this role contributes to both workflow optimization and the achievement of superior finished products.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

o Apply paint coatings including primer, top coat, and dry film lubricant.

o Maintain clear communication with the team lead to ensure alignment on tasks and goals.

o Collaborate closely with the supervisor to implement technical enhancements and workflow efficiencies.

o Innovate and devise new racking techniques to optimize the painting process.

o Demonstrate consistent punctuality and attendance.

o Promptly report quality issues and departmental problems to management.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

o Strong team player with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and demanding work environment.

o Maintain a positive attitude even during high-pressure situations.

o Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

o Possess solid painting techniques for superior finishing.

o Preferred, though not required: Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.

EDUCATION / WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

o Previous experience is advantageous, but not a mandatory requirement.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour
