JOB SUMMARY:

As Master Plumber (MP), you will need to efficiently undertake a variety of plumbing tasks and activities for the plumbing division. You will report directly to the Sr. VP of Operations and will oversee the daily function and operation on the plumbing division and its employees. As Master Plumber you will be responsible for the P&L of the Plumbing Division. A major obligation of your attention will be utilized to grow and expand our customer base for both existing and new accounts.

Responsibilities:

• Generates and maintains work assignments and schedules for all Plumbers and Apprentices.
• Inspects and ensures that HJD Capital's high work quality and performance is maintained at all times.
• Master Plumber is the leading authority for the Plumbing Division's Safety Program. Overall responsibility for the safety of all persons on all plumbing projects and jobsites where HJD is performing an operation or work.
• Plans and holds an effective scheduled weekly Plumbing Safety and Information meeting.
• Prices and prepares all Plumbing Work and Task Orders on a regular schedule to ensure all completed work order are submitted for invoicing by the end of each week.
• Oversees and responsible for plumbing assets, equipment, materials and plumbing vehicles.
• Insures that required plumbing materials are in stock and ready for deployment.
• Works daily to assure Plumbers are provided work assignments in advance to allow for effective-efficient use of plumbers time. Assigns work assignments in writing on later than the day before the work is to be commenced.
• Reads blueprints and drawings to understand and plan plumbing layouts, waste disposal, med-gas and water supply systems.

• Insures that all construction, safety and traffic permits are ordered and posted prior to work commencements.
• Cuts, assembles and installs piping and tubing as needed with attention to existing infrastructure (i.e. electrical wiring).
• Installs new and maintains existing domestic water supply systems.
• Locates and repairs issues with water supply and sanitary system lines/piping as required (i.e. leaks).
• Repairs or replaces broken drainage lines, clogged drains, faucets etc.
• Installs and maintains gas and liquid systems, waste disposal and sanitary systems.
• Ability to work with large piping systems including storm water systems.
• Grows and nourishes plumbing Venders and Sub-contractors relationships to build our base accounts.
• Peruses, expands and generates new Plumbing Division Customer base and revenue streams.
• Possesses good communication and interpersonal skills to lead and grow assigned plumbing employees.
• Embraces working directly with Customers and Sr. Management, achieving positive, impactful, successfully results.

• Computer proficient with MS Office Suite, MS Project, Bluebeam, Excel, SAGE 100 and others.
• Capability to walk jobsites and generate effective job Proposals, Bids & Pricing.

• REQUIRED:
  • MP certification
  • Medgas license
