Position Description
The Senior Accounting Associate will work closely with the Director of Finance & Operations and Hobby Lobby Controller to support day-to-day activities of the investment portfolio. This is a role that will take ownership over the month-end accounting close process, and support the operational needs of HL Investments.

Education & Experience
· Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or related field
· 2-5 years of experience in accounting.
· CPA (or desire to attain) is ideal.
· Proficiency in excel and quantitative aptitude, as evidenced by academic achievement and/or work experience.
· Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
· General understanding or macroeconomics, financial markets, concepts, and principles.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities will include Monthly, Quarterly, Semi-annual, and Year-End deadlines. Please note that this list does not include all job responsibilities.
· Prepare all monthly journal entries
· Reconcile Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
· Track, record, and reconcile real estate tenant rent and impound payments
· Manage and update monthly cash inflow/outflow reports
· Reconcile investment activities between accounting and investment software
· Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual reports
· Prepare monthly financial statements
