Purchase Planning – External Flow Process
•Responsible to Execute the full seed purchasing process from initial user request, sourcing and negotiation with supplier, accuracy in purchase order entry and approval process through delivery and acceptance of product, to providing final documentation packet to accounting for payment.
•Source products from various vendors with service, price, quality, and lead times for availability while leveraging the purchase power of the company with volume pricing and service commitment.
•Coordinate optimal shipping methods and anticipated delivery with supplier; to communicate updates to key operational departments to ensure goods are received and promptly available for use.
•Investigate and promptly resolve any issues or complaints regarding purchased goods.
•Responsible for generation and analysis of purchasing reports to provide historical purchasing patterns to operational planners/supervisors for proactive ordering, monitor supplies needed for replenishment.
•Maintain historical purchasing files of seed inventory.
•Provide seed purchase plan and updates throughout the year to production and finance for cash flow and currency visibility.
SCP Planning – Flow Coordination, Ensure Best Use of Stock, Buy Ins
•Plan and coordinate Supply Chain Planning activities on intercompany items to demand while respecting cost & operational constraints.
•Monitor Supply key performance metrics on a daily/weekly basis & take corrective actions based on trends.
•Analyze and Execute the finished products Inventory Statement to pull the needed Semi-finished quantities to the required Product forms and Qualities.
Executing – Flow Coordination, Ensure Best Use of Stock, Subcontracting, Quality Interpretation
•Maintain critical inventory parameters including classification and stock allocations per market demand.
•Determine and execute processes/ technical paths for stock based according to commercial needs.
•Manage stock, set priorities in order to optimize quality tests and factory operations (minimize loss, etc.)
•Determine and launch complementary quality tests.
Communicating – Sales Interfaces, Team Management/Team-Orientation
•Suggest prorates based on supply trend (stock quality, etc.) and exception forecast.
•Collaborate with Sales Data Planning (SDP), understand sales trends and dynamics, impact to supply planning.
•Illustrating the need and collaborate with EMEA SCPs to determine stock needed to cover forecasted demand by country, quality class, and product treatment type.
•Collaborate with Manufacturing Managers to optimize factory capacity and meet customer demand.
•Communicate with urgency, concise analysis of supply constraints to all stakeholders including Inventory Manager, PM, SDP, and Quality Control.
•Support and explain reasoning for decisions and informs Supply Chain Planning Manager about seed availabilities while upholding a team oriented and professional demeanor.
Continuous Improvement – Ensure Best Use of Stock, Quality Interpretation, Continuous Improvement.
•Adapts to changes in the organization with resourcefulness and strives to increase productivity and improve standards.
•Identify gaps in processes/strategies, develops and formulates corrective actions needed for all seed purchasing resolution, takes calculated risks, and executes the action plan created.
•Study quality parameters, trends, stock levels and identify root causes using quantitative support
To be considered, you will need: The candidate that will thrive in this role brings prompt response to customer needs and attention to detail. We look for:
•Bachelor's degree preferred.
•2-3 years procurement experience highly desirable in a manufacturing environment.
•Familiarity of legal and regulatory compliance to meet requirements.
•Proficiency with computer systems, including Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
•Agricultural background of benefit.
