Review and interpret customer designs and specifications to develop manufacturing methods and processes for the purpose of generating cost estimates, including labor, material, and internal or sub-tier processing
Confer with others to ensure understanding of the contents and requirements of a quote package
Collaborate with staff from other functional areas as needed to ensure feasibility and accuracy of manufacturing solutions and estimates
Develop and/or maintain estimating tools to ensure the greatest accuracy of future bids and streamline the estimating process
Review completed quotes for accuracy and conformity to standards and regulations
Coordinate with customers’ buyers to ensure quote submittals are accurate and meet the customer’s expectations for content and due date
Communicate effectively (verbal and written) with all contacts
Present completed RFQ’s to leadership team succinctly and clearly for appropriate approval
Accept and adapt easily to change
Ensure that all activities are consistent with Company Mission Statement

Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred
At least one year of previous industry experience working as an estimator or similar position required
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and customer specifications
Understanding of aerostructures assembly, sheet metal and machining methods, processes and equipment, including nonrecurring/tooling development activities
Business acumen regarding product costing and profitability
Basic math skills – able to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions
Proficient in the use of computers and Microsoft Office applications
Basic knowledge of CATIA v5 preferred
Strong attention to detail and focus on quality and accuracy
Exhibits dependability, including following instructions; responding to supervisor’s direction; and taking responsibility for own actions
Ability to take initiative, including asking for and offering help when needed, and perform work independently without being prompted
Ability to manage competing priorities, prioritize and plan work activities, use time efficiently, and work within deadlines
U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (ITAR requirement)
