What are the responsibilities and job description for the Creative Content Manager position at HMSHost?
Purpose: The Creative Content Manager manages digital asset management function and the systems and tools used to create digital media resources and archives, leads classification and storage of digital resources like videos, photographs, files, artwork, and other materials. This position implements processes to scan or digitize media before loading, as well as establishes and maintains workflows used to track, retrieve, and document assets.
Essential Functions:
• Oversees day-to-day asset management system, including organizing, updating, and maintenance
• Develops content taxonomy strategy and ensures continued governance and optimization
• Project manages photography in direct support of organizational business goals
• Monitors storage on servers, ensuring adequate storage and performance
• Creates physical backups of stored content on servers and is responsible for keeping records of all content available for viewing
• Audits existing content materials to re-purpose for newly created assets
• Builds and updates webpages; reviews site analytics, including user feedback, and address necessary fixes
• Designs emails following the company’s brand and style guidelines
• Supports social media content creation, editorial calendar, and posting, and other content, including digital
• Manages, reviews and evaluates social media analytics
• Coordinates and supports the marketing and communications functions, including, but not limited to, social media management, grand opening events, bi-weekly internal emails, Enroute digital magazine, operations communications, and marketing campaigns
Reporting Relationship:
Reports into Creative Services Director
Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Work Environment:
The combination of education and professional experience must exceed 5 years:
• In a leadership role: Requires 2 years of experience leading a Creative Content team
• In a technical role: Requires 5 years of experience in Creative Content asset management
• A bachelor’s degree in a program related to the functional area can count for 3 of the five-year requirement
• In the industry: 3-5 years of Hospitality, F&B and/or Retail experience
Specialized Training
• Training that leads to an in-depth understanding of Creative Content
Specialized Skillset/Competencies/Traits
• Business acumen and also has the mindset required to understand the long-term implications of creative content planning and to advance the organizations goals
• Demonstrated history of understanding the needs of the business, stakeholders, the employee population and individual circumstances
• Demonstrated history of creating and maintaining positive work environments through coaching, developing, and leading teams to achieve common goals
Location:
• Requires regular/hybrid attendance at either F&B Center of Excellence in Bethesda or Retail Center of Excellence in East Rutherford
