HMT LLC / Allentech, specializing in aluminum internal floating roof and perimeter seal systems for above ground storage tanks, is seeking candidates for the following position.
Shipping and Receiving Team Lead
The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing the daily operations of the department. The ideal candidate must be able to pick and pack parts from a printed packing list, have forklift experience, be detail-oriented and work well in a team environment. This position will report to the shop foreman/shipping and receiving manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise a team of 1-2 personnel in the shipping and receiving department to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products and parts.
- Pick and pack parts from a printed packing list and ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Load/unload LTL, flatbed, full tractor trailers, and parcel packages.
- Maintain accurate shipping and receiving records and receipts from deliveries.
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols. (PPE, Reach cards, etc..)
- Train and mentor team members to perform their job duties accurately and efficiently.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations (such as welding and fabrication).
- Be flexible and able to multitask on various projects.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Forklift experience is required.
- At least 2 years of experience in shipping and receiving operations.
- Ability to supervise a team in a fast-paced and heavy team-oriented environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Must be reliable, dependable, and responsible.
