Job Summary: The Risk Advisor will possess strong knowledge ad industry experience that will fuel pioneering efforts in partnership with Relationship Managers as an SME to help open doors and close deals. Is accountable to work with leadership to increase sales, improve processes and raise customer satisfaction by suggestion innovative risk reduction or growth solutions. The Risk Advisor champions relationships with both new and/or existing accounts and acts as the premier advisor on the team. Responsibilities: Acts as a Game Changer by embracing HNI's LiveIt Values: Purpose, Brand, Culture, Promise, and Process Functions as a subject matter expert within their area of expertise, including transportation with a focus on operations and/or DOT compliance, claims, benefits compliance, OSHA, etc. Assists Relationship Manager (RM) in writing new business by collaborating throughout the sales process and/or accompany on sales appointments Participates in workshops and discovery sessions to uncover wicked business problems that may be creatively solved through the use of advisory services Serves as an expert in being able to assist HNI clients with initial assessments of their business and not only share solutions but walk them through and provide workflows to ensure compliance Follows HNI's brokerage philosophy to deliver on HNI's promise to clients to address and provide options for their unique needs and goals, treat their business as our own, and be clear, transparent, and candid Communicates client objectives and service expectations tot he service teams in a respectful and professional manner while documenting all visits in HNI's OS Remains current with all legislative changes within field of expertise and keeps the HNI team abreast of changes in an effective way Provides leadership to service teams when identifying and solving complex advisory needs Develops relationships with peer contacts at the prospective client during new business opportunities Develops and maintains relationships with key market contacts relative to their respective expertise to assist in telling the story for the renewal process Consults with customers regarding risk exposure strategies and recommended calculated measures for improving the operations, processes, and risk exposures Actively participates in workshops, SWARM sessions, prospect meetings, and renewal meetings Effectively produces advisory partnerships with existing and new clients Represents HNI at niche associations and events Senior Level Responsibilities: Proven ability to advise extremely complex, large clients with proven successful strategies on cost and safety initiatives ultimately boosting the company's performance Actively engaged in teaching others and sharing knowledge via CE courses or other learning and mentoring opportunities Actively participates in industry related association(s) and events, ideally on an industry related board Consistently looks for new ways to help develop and support the Advisory team Able to perform risk control efforts at an effective level through each area of advisory services (DOT, Employment Law, OSHA, Claims, HR) Seeks and finds opportunities to represent our "live it" values through speaking engagements Develops industry specific tools/software that assist in risk reduction efforts (incentives, scorecards, data analysis) Track record for developing warm leads for relationship management teams while assisting in closing the deal This position may include additional responsibilities that are not indicated in the job description Qualifications: Minimum 8 years' experience within the insurance industry within one or more areas of the expert advisory fields Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field of study or equivalent relevant experience Must be comfortable in an electronic environment with strong computer skills Strong working knowledge of Office Products Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent public speaking abilities as well as ability to create effective presentations Excellent people skills and ability to work well in a team environment Strong organizational skills Valid driver's license, acceptable MVR, and auto liability insurance Senior Qualifications: A minimum of 12 years' experience in insurance industry or business-related experience with the following: Depending on niche within advisory, experience with commercial accounts with premiums in excess of $250,000 and employee benefits accounts that are self-funded, level funded, captive and mid to large employers (250 FTE's ) Strong technical skills with expertise Industry certification(s) and/or Juris Doctor degree Acrisure is committed to employing a diverse workforce.
