GIS Architect

What We're Looking For Provides architectural leadership, implementation guidance, and technology partner management for the GIS infrastructure. Preferred Qualifications and Skills: AWS GIS Development and Analytical Capabilities *IND What You'll Need Essential Responsibilities: Researches, initiates and manages vendor relationships (vendors who provide technology of mapping data and GIS middleware). Analyzes and develop GIS systems, applications and database architectures while working with Information Technology groups to implement the defined architecture. Performs consulting for enterprise designs both internal and external. Develops and manage standards for GIS platforms including software, systems and development practices to be employed on all GIS projects. Provides technical architecture reviews of consulting engagements requiring such oversight. Researches and develops new and emerging technologies to find innovative solutions/techniques. Serves as an advocate and presents new technologies and strategies for GIS implementation to design offices. Provides input in marketing strategies, including capabilities within the team and processes/methodologies. Performs other duties as assigned.
