This is a full-time position. Typical days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Evening and weekend hours required, as required by business need.
Travel
Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out of the area travel and overnight may be expected.

Bachelor’s Degree Preferred

Essential Functions
- Supports the Program Manager III with working closely with CA directorates, DHS, and other government offices to carry out FPP’s in-house validation studies and data analysis exercises involving visa recipients
- Assists the Program Manager III with assistance to posts by running queries of various consular, DHS, and commercial databases and analyzing results to identify consular fraud.
- Facilitates validation studies and data analysis exercises for overseas posts to identify fraud patterns among large groups of visa applicants.
- Assists the Program Manager III in the designing and execution of global, regional and country specific validation studies to support FPP and CA needs, including large, complex analytical studies as well as fast-breaking, targeted reports needed by upper management and other directorates.
- Ensures continuity of work carried out by any global validation studies by establishing user-friendly written procedures and practical protocols to enable FPP to carry out similar studies of other visa applicant populations in the future.
- Innovates with related data applications and uses of systems technologies that are developed in the validation study/data analysis exercises for the task of combating visa and passport fraud.
- Performs other duties as assigned in the effort to advance FPP’s core mission of consular fraud prevention
- Knowledge of fraud prevention or a related field
- Must possess excellent communication skills
- Ability to demonstrate analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office programs.
- Must have programming experience with analytical programs R and/or Python

- Knowledge and experience with web services is preferred, but not required
- Contractor must be data driven and have the ability to analyze large data sets for patterns and trends.
- Experience with relational databases; strong working knowledge of SQL (or similar language)
