MAMMOGRAPHY TECHNOLOGIST I - LAGUNA HILLS MAMMOGRAPHY - TRAINING PROVIDED

Salary Range: $41.2200 - $63.3700 /hour. Actual compensation may vary based on geographic location, work experience, skill level, and education.

The Mammography Technologist performs routine screening mammography examinations to obtain high-quality radiographs.

• Obtains images of excellent diagnostic quality to optimally demonstrate anatomy and/or pathology while providing maximum comfort and safety to patients.
• The technologist educates the patient about the exam and takes measures to provide and care for the patient’s safety and properly utilizes procedure-related patient care/support devices appropriate for the age of the patient.
• Alerts Supervisor and/or appropriate staff of potential problems or equipment malfunctions.
• Maintains a relaxed environment to calm anxious patients.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
  
  

Education And Experience

• Associate's Degree or higher.
• Graduate of an ARRT-approved Radiologic Technology program is required.
• A minimum of 6 months – 1 year is preferred, but will also consider new graduates that possess a State of California Mammography License (CRT M)
• Knowledge of EMR Systems and EPIC is preferred

• California Radiologic Technologist Diagnostic Radiologic Technology - CRTXR
• California Radiologic Technologist Mammographic Radiologic Technology -CRTMA
• ARRT Radiography - RTR
• AHA BLS certification
• ARRT Mammography - RTM
• Certified in DBT and 3D Tomosynthesis preferred.
