Hobby Lobby is adding a full time, on campus Personnel Specialist for the Buying Resources department. This person will recruit and interview candidates to fill various positions at the corporate level. The Personnel Specialist is considered a critical role in the success of our company, as this person will be responsible for identifying the best candidates for the future of the Hobby Lobby family.

Hobby Lobby is adding a full time, on campus Personnel Specialist for the Buying Resources department. This person will recruit and interview candidates to fill various positions at the corporate level. The Personnel Specialist is considered a critical role in the success of our company, as this person will be responsible for identifying the best candidates for the future of the Hobby Lobby family.
Responsibilities
- Work with Hiring Managers to understand their needs for the position
- Search Internet platforms such as Zip-Recruiter, Monster, really, Linked-in, Job-posting boards, as well as internal site applications, matching jobs with each individual’s skill set
- Prepare, schedule and perform phone interviews
- Schedule skills assessments
- Schedule Face-to-Face interviews with Hiring Managers
- Keep documents organized on internal site
- Build a comprehensive understanding of company policies related to employees
- Collaborate with recruiters, HR and Legal departments
Job Description - Requirements
- Quickly review and analyze resumes
- Communicate effectively in both written and verbal forms
- Ask insightful follow-up questions during phone interviews
- Help others see the value of working for us through phone interviews or in person interactions
- Previous experience using applicant tracking solutions
- Understand labor and employment laws

Microsoft Office experience with the following programs:
- Microsoft Excel abilities matching the description found at the Excel Website

- Microsoft Outlook skillset in keeping with the description found here Outlook Website
- Combination of 2 years’ work experience or education in related field
