Bookkeeper/Accounting

Seeking a skilled bookkeeper for our small, family owned business in Isanti. Responsibilities include basic accounting, accounts payable, sales tax filing, and human resources support. The ideal candidate will be versatile, with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities:
- Match vendor invoices with purchase orders and confirm correct pricing
- Enter invoices into QuickBooks Online and set up payments via ACH, check or online
- Track ACH payments in Excel and communicate with management regarding cash flow
- Process weekly payroll through ADP and file 1099s and W2s at year end
- Onboard new hires and enter into payroll
- Complete annual workers compensation insurance audit
- File monthly/quarterly/annual sales tax returns and set up new states as needed
- Update customers' sales tax rates as needed in Microsoft Access database
- Prepare and maintain financial records and reports
- Perform bank, credit card, credit line and petty cash account reconciliations

Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Accounting
- Proficient using QuickenBooks Online software
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience filing sales tax in multiple states
- Familiar with Microsoft Access
- Experience with ACH payments
- Experience with filing payroll (ADP)

This is a flexible part- to full-time position, depending on the season and sales tax filings. Starting at $24/hr depending on qualifications.
