We are seeking an Education Specialist - English to join our team in Nelsonville, OH. The ideal candidate will have experience in tutoring, secondary advising for students, providing coverage of Academic Success Center, and assisting the Director of the English lab with supplemental education programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and group tutoring sessions for students in English courses
  • Advise secondary students on course selection and academic planning
  • Provide coverage of Academic Success Center as needed
  • Develop and implement supplemental education programs to enhance student learning
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to identify and address student needs
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current in the field

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in English or related field
  • Experience in tutoring and advising secondary students
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed
