HOERBIGER Service Inc. is seeking a Purchasing Specialist to support our Service Centers in NAM.

Essential Responsibilities

Purchasing & PO Management for Service:

• Efficiently manage purchase order processing, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in updating confirmations and monitoring delivery schedules.
• Proactively expedite orders when necessary to ensure on-time delivery and mitigate potential disruptions in supply chain operations.
• Maintain meticulous records and documentation related to purchase orders, facilitating seamless communication and collaboration with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Utilize effective communication channels to coordinate with vendors, logistics teams, and other relevant parties to resolve any issues impacting delivery schedules promptly.
• Monitoring stock levels for assigned material in collaboration with the Inventory Manager.
• Regularly update and maintain essential purchasing master data information of assigned materials -such as source lists and info records.
• Handling requests for quotations (RFQ) and assignment of purchase requisitions to vendors.
• Monitor open POs daily by utilizing the existing tools and ensure proactive follow-ups and the execution of required actions with vendors.
• Negotiate pricing/discounts to reduce material cost.
• Procure non-inventory items according to shop requisitions, ensuring timely acquisition and alignment with operational needs.

Supplier management - for Service:

• Facilitate the onboarding of new vendors into the SAP system by inputting vendor master data and configuring necessary parameters to ensure seamless integration and optimization of the purchase-to-pay process.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with new and existing suppliers to ensure mutually beneficial partnerships.

• Collaborate closely with existing suppliers to address identified deficiencies and implement corrective actions aimed at enhancing performance and optimizing collaboration.

Technical/Functional Knowledge Requirements

• 2 years Proven experience in a similar role, demonstrating a deep understanding of purchasing and supply chain processes.
• Utilizing SAP for efficient management of procurement processes and experience in navigating through SAP's modules is an asset.
• Demonstrate effective communication and team collaboration skills
